Mission statements waste paper.
Going green requires action! That’s why we at ConferencePlus have chosen to forgo a green mission statement and replace it with a green action statement. We believe an action oriented statement is the only way to proactively engage in environmentally and socially responsible decision making on an everyday basis.
Action Statement
We will set a goal of being powered 100% by Green Power by 2014. We will begin by becoming an EPA Green Power Partner and purchasing 6% of our annual energy needs from Green Power sources in 2009, then increasing annually over the next five years.
We will set a goal being carbon neutral by 2014. To accomplish this goal we will begin by investing in a Reforestation Project to plant over 30,000 trees to help offset our carbon output. We will continue to increase investments in carbon offsetting projects until we are completely carbon neutral.
We will seek to increase telecommuting hours for ConferencePlus employees. We will continually promote employees using conferencing tools to work from home and to reduce their commuting and carbon output.
We will continue to reduce our office paper waste. We will do this by continually streamlining interoffice procedures to modernize our office.
We promote conferencing and other services to organizations to help them go green and reduce their carbon imprint.
We will continually explore all possible ways to go green in every aspect of our organization.
